Emergency hospital stay

Some may wonder where I have been. It has been an exciting week. I worked last Sunday, Mothers Day, got off at 7pm. I went to Lil Mom and Dad's for "get together"....No pappy. He had gone to see his mother for the day. No one had talked to him on the phone all day. Normally he is home by 3 or 4pm.....still no Pappy. I told my son I was going to go home and see if he was there. My older son said he would go and I should stay and visit with everyone. In about 15 mins he calls and said I should come because "something was not right with dad"....needless to say I rushed over and after attempting to talk to him realized he must have appendix problem.....We went to ED about 8:30 pm and after being seen and having CT it was decided he had appendicitis. The surgeon was called in and he had emergency surgery at 1am Monday morning. We learn when the surgeon completed the surgery the appendix had ruptured and he had peritonitis. We were in the hospital for 4 days. He is at home today, trying to celebrate his birthday today. He is still very weak, but slowly progressing. We go back to the doctor on Wed. I should say the surgeon was excellent and the hospital visit was as good as it could be considering. Everyone was extremely nice and we were well taken care of. KUDOS to Dr Jason Murphy and the Baptist Medical Center.
The very best birthday present he could have had was a visit from the grandchildren. They are growing and doing so well. We are so grateful. God is good.

I think this is what Pappy felt like when he woke up in the wee hours of Monday morning. He still can't "jump too high" HA!!

Thanks for all your prayers.
