Yum...watermelon...sticky,sticky

Our first experience today with watermelon. As I took these pictures today, I had a silent chuckle on the inside thinking of my dad. He was very much opposed to STICKY things. He probably would have said, "Don't get that all over those babies"! As a child he would constantly be "on us" about getting anything sticky on anything!! Well, this has passed on to another generation. The twin's dad told lil Mom that she and I could give them watermelon, but not him. He also told us to be sure we put bibs on them before we got started. HA!!! He is VERY much like his pa-paw!!! He will continue to live in our hearts and in our "little mannerisms". Wish you could have seen this today, PaPaw!!

Chillin at the pool

Luke and Prentiss had their first play time in the pool. They didn't stay in long...way too hot!!!!
In the bottom picture Luke was too busy trying to see what the other kids were doing. Prentiss was trying to find his thumb to suck. I think they both enjoyed it....just chillin in the pool.

Happy Father's Day

Our older son and his wife just had their home completed and moved into. They have really worked hard for this. She is an occupational therapist and he is a licensed architect. We are so very proud of them.

Today they have invited both families
"in-laws and outlaws" HA!! over for a Happy Father's Day luncheon. I am at work today so will miss out on all the fun. I am sure all will have a grand-ole time. Wish I could be there to get some pictures of everyone, but maybe next time.

Our older son and his wife AKA Uncle J and Aunt K to the twins. You probably have seen them in earlier posts. They helped out so much when the twins were SO tiny and both had to have surgery. We are so grateful they are a part of rearing these little angels.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all the great DADs out there. You are so very important to your little ones.

6 month check-up

Last week Luke and Prentiss had their
6 month check-up and shots. Prentiss weighed in at 16lbs and 3 oz. He is growing well. Dr. is pleased with his progress. She stated, " He just doesn't look like a heart baby". I said, thank you God. We call him little hot-rod. Never still and never quiet!!! hA!!!

Luke weighed in at 19 lbs 9 oz.
He does have torticollis in his neck. You will notice on most of his pictures he favors his left side. He had his neck x-rayed and was found to be normal and will only need physical therapy to correct. Lil Mom and Dad went to learn his exercises and they have begun. I can already tell it is helping.
Notice this picture? He is holding his head straight.

I have been so busy. Lil Mom and Dad had their six year anniversary last week. I kept the boys while they went out to dinner and shared some quiet time. Ha... quiet time doesn't occur very often for them.

I'll try to post more this week....in the mean-time...ya'll have a great week.

South Beach Diet

Uh,Oh!! Lucy has done it again!!! Trying to post this as a widget and it ended up as a post. I guess that is ok since I am past due for a post. Anyway, when you are sleep deprived there is no telling what you will do. I worked 7pm-7am last night and still have not been to sleep.....Should I say Sleepless in MS....it certainly is no fun. Whoops, now the widget is at the end of the post and the picture is at the top and I can't move them....so there you have it.....another mess....well, leave it to ME !!!!!

Tomorrow we take Luke and Prentiss for their 6 mo check up. Pray all is still going well. Don't they look grand with their mother??

Brief Visit

Luke and Prentiss got to meet their second cousins today, Cal and Laney. They stopped by on the way to Gulf Shores, AL.

Lil Mom was hosting a baby shower and almost missed the visit. Cal and Laney enjoyed a snack, but not so much having a picture taken. Look at all those curls, aren't they adorable. You can visit them at mom's blog.

I'm glad they are at the beach this week. The weather has been so rainy, but now the temps are in the upper 80's and 90's and the sun is pretty and bright....perfect beach weather. We will probably wait until next summer to introduce Luke and Prentiss to the sun and sand.

GOOD NEWS....my friend Kat is back bloggin. She sent me an e-mail today. I was so excited to see she did not let "the nasty person win".....YES!!!!!

Everyone have a great week.

Love to ya!!
