The neighborhood is "up in arms" this morning. Upon arising this morning, this is what we saw. We asked, "What could this thing be?" I think it may be the SUN...could this be???? We have thawed out from 5 inches of snow...then as it melted we had to deal with the ice. (Please don't laugh ......all my bloggin friends that have gotten MUCH more snow than central MS...you must understand we NEVER get snow like this) In some places it was 'black ice". See my entry "writing under the influence" for a good laugh and snort!! Weatherman says this week we should return to "normal" temps for our area. I am way over due for my dose of Vitamin D. Come on spring time and some warmer weather. I am so ready for sun on my face and sand on my toes!!!! Yipee!! Yipee!! P.S. This was the scene as I left for work tonight....the end to a beautiful day. Good night everyone. Rest well.
We are supposed to have a 76 degree day...ok time for some summer clothes shopping for me. I didn't buy much last year and need a few things if it's going to get warm again so soon. It's supposed to be 80 tomorrow!
We're having a bit of sunshine today in central Alabama, though the temperature is still frigid! No ice to content with today which is a blessing but I'm certainly ready for spring. Hope we both get a good dose of vitamin D via spring weather reallys soon. Till the, stay warm. Sharon
Just went back and read your post for writing under the influence. Sooooo funny!! Sorry about that. I did the same sort of thing this summer in the parking lot of the Visitor's Center at Gettyburg National Park in Pennsylvania. Except there was no black ice on which to blame my spill! Just got my foot tangled in the strap of my camera bag which was in the floor under my feet. I lay there much longer than I'd like to have because I'm so fat and my arthritis makes it difficult to get myself up. People came running to help me up and instantly I knew-----I'm and OLD LADY in distress! UGH!!! Getting old is not for the faint of heart. An older man came to my aid and said, "You must me related to my wife. She is always falling out of the car." LOL! Sharon
