Decorations
Last night I decided I better drag out the tree and ornaments since I have one more day off work. So, up in the attic I went and passed the boxes down to Pappy. Wah--Lahh....the tree was up and decorated. Last year I purchased a pre-lite tree which made the job much easier.
I also went with a small tree. The family was not as happy with the smaller tree, but it was either this or nothing.....
as you can see it is "skinny" and tall....unlike me!!HA!!
I tried several times to capture the entire tree then finally gave up. I have 2 sock monkeys under the tree for "our 2 little monkeys" HA!! Usually every year the family gathers and the tree is decorated while we "watch" the movie "Christmas Vacation". Our other favorite Christmas movies are "Miracle on 34th Street" and "It's a Wonderful Life". This year we were so scattered it did not happen....next year will be better with "lots of little helping hands".

I like the tree. Next year I plan on having the tall skinny tree...oh yes, and I will be skinny too!!! Nothing I can do about getting taller.
Hey!! you be sure and let me know how you accomplish the skinny part!! HA!!!
I love the tree! I want a smaller one next year, but I've been saying that for about 10 years. Same old tree! Maybe next year :)
pretty! pretty! you know i'm one of those loser who can't have christmas trees! real trees, i'm allergic too, other trees, i'm allergic to the dust that lives with them. lol! love yours though!
YaYa, I'm so glad you found me!! I love making new friends. The babies are adorable!! I'll be saying a prayer for them. I've been reading through your blog and you are so right; we really do have a lot in common. When I got to the post about the book, Love You Forever, I just couldn't believe it. Would you believe I gave all three of my kids a copy of that book for Christmas -- about three or four years ago!!!! I never heard of the book when they were small and learned of it from some of the ladies at work talking about how much they loved it and that they were giving it to their grandchildren. When I read it in Walmart, I just stood there and cried. I only had one grand at that time but decided I needed to make up for that deficit in my own children's lives and make sure they had it for my grandchildren. Welllllll, you should have seen the look on the faces of these early 30's and late 20's kids when they opened that package. They were just about ready to send me to the looney bin. So much for being sentimental. Sorry this is so long. I'll do better. Hope you don't mind but I'm going to add you to my favorite's list. Take care!

I love skinny trees. Heck, I just love the word skinny. Wish I was!
Your tree is beautiful.
Hugs!

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday. I enjoyed perusing your blog last evening. I was especially interested in the babies. My daughter-in-law is due on January 25th. I'm sorry your precious little guys couldn't wait longer, but it happens. My sister had her son two months early. He's almost 9 years old now, and doing just fine.
I love your tree.
Hey, I sent you a comment but don't know if it went through....I'm new at this remember!! Anyway, your boys are precious....will continue to keep them in my prayers. Love your sock monkeys....remind me of Mamaw. Infact, I bought one the other day...a large one and a small one to hang on the tree. Love to all!! Kathy
