$$$$$$$$

This is what is needed per month for formula, diapers, wipes....etc....

Mamaw Sue wanted to buy some baby formula to "help out".....I started calculating!!! OH MY GOSH!!!!

Formula at present is 2 cans per day for a total for $420.00 per month.(only to increase)
Diapers approx 15 per day....$120.00 per month
Baby wipes....to wipe those boodies.....approx $24.00 per month.....

Yesterday I helped little Mama take Prentiss and Luke to get a "shot" called Synagis...sp? anyway, it's to vaccinate against the RSV virus.....it cost a whoppin $1200 for one shot! $2400 for both shots. That is twelve HUNDRED dollars, not twelve dollars. They have to take this every month until the virus season has passed. Luke now weighs 11lbs,11oz. Prentiss weighs 10lbs,8oz.

So, if anyone is THINKING about having A BABY......CAUTION>>>>it could turn out differently than you expect. Now, mind you I am not complaining...just stating facts!!! YIKES!!!!!

Visit from "Auntie Ethel"

As I was preparing "baby formula" , I received a phone call from Ethel. She and "little brother" were going to be in town and wanted to come by for a visit and see the twins. We had a great fun time and lots of laugh recalling days gone by....boy does Ethel have a good memory! Somethings are better left forgotten---don't you agree? Of course, she managed to scare my pants off before she left. Hopefully those boys won't inherit that trait from their auntie---otherwise, YaYa will live a very anxious life!!

Auntie Ethel, I know you didn't want your picture posted but at least I didn't post the full face picture. I tried to comply. This is Auntie Ethel holding Luke. Prentiss was asleep the entire time so she didn't get to hold him.

Of course, we could not post Luke without posting Prentiss....sweet dreams baby!

Where Have I Been??

You might ask me where have you been??? Well....the saga continues. Pappy has had partial replacement on both knees. OUCH!!! He had this done on Feb 5 and is doing quite well according to his physical therapist.

So we have "bought stock" in this facility!!! HA!!! JKJKJK

This picture was taken soon after surgery. He has really done well....and the other thing is.....he does not complain. He is not a WHINER!!

This is the first time in therapy. Not a good start-off. Legs were still so numb he could not hold himself up and fell back into chair. I had to quickly go back to the room.

We are being discharged and sent home on Sat Feb 7th. He has really done well.
The worst is over....now the push for full recovery!! Did I mention??? Little Dad had the flu and little baby Prentiss had the flu.....we took both babies back to the doctor on Friday since Luke was coughing and his test for the flu was neg. Thank God!!. They are recovering well. The GRANDMOTHER (Pappy's mom) came last Sunday and was here for one week to help out. Boy, was that a blessing!!!

Valentine's Day came and went... I hope all of my bloggy friend had an awesome day with their honey buns!!!♥

John the Baptist

John the Baptist....I have a feeling that this will be Luke and Prentiss one day!!! Now, you must understand YaYa does not approve of "cat torcher" but boys will be boys!!!

Matt. 18:4-5 'Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in
the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcome
s me.'

Johnny's Mother looked out the window and noticed him 'playing church' with their
cat. He had the cat sitting
quietly and he was preaching to it. She smiled and went about her work.

A while later she heard loud
meowing and hissing and ran back to the open window
to see Johnny baptizing the cat in a tub of water. She called out, 'Johnny, stop that! The
cat is afraid of water!'
Johnny looked up at her and said, 'He should have thought about that before he joined my church.'

This was sent to me by my dear sweet aunt (the reason my font has changed colors...she couldn't read the brown...so I aim to please) Love ya Aunt Sylvia...my dad's baby sister....

Not Happy Campers

SSHHHH!!! Whisper, whisper!! Breath only if you must.......
We are not happy campers....we are spitting up (more like vomit), stomachs are griping and rumbling.
Mom changed our formula AGAIN!! We are not liking it....YaYa bought some "Gripe Water"...they say it has ginger and fennel seed....but we just don't know about this.....we are trying our best to "work on Mom and Dads last nerve"......all that work we are tired..we are getting ready for the night!! HA!!!

I think they are succeeding!!!!

They really are scrumptious!!! It is interesting how they "feed" off each others fussing. I now understand and have always heard this is why God made babies for the younger generation....not the grands!!! I am so tired when I leave there I can hardly stand myself....my house is a wreck, but I am either working at my job or trying to help out with the babies......we will get through all this.......Oh,,,,and did I say.....Pappy has decided now is the time for bilateral partial knee replacements....so he will have that done tomorrow. His mother is coming next week to help us out.....yeah!!!! So, I might not be able to blog as much...we will see...it may be my sanity!!! HA!!!! Pray for us....

Happy Groundhog Day!

Today is Groundhog Day and the word is six more weeks of winter....no early spring. So, blogger friends I guess we have to wait a bit longer to get those seeds started and awhile longer to dig out of the snow....blah,blah,blah.

Now, Prentiss and Luke will wonder...YaYa? What is groundhog day? Groundhog Day is an annual holiday celebrated on February 2[1] in the United States and Canada on which folklore tells if a groundhog emerges from its burrow and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end. If on the other hand, it is sunny and the groundhog sees its shadow, the groundhog will supposedly retreat into its burrow, and winter will continue for six more weeks. So, on this day...Feb.2, 2009 it is said we will have 6 more weeks of winter. I know today you don't care because today you are being very fussy....Little Mama called the doctors office and we have yet another formula change. We hope to get you settled so that you feel better thus making Little Mama and Dad feel awhole lot better.
We love you anyway!!!!

Super Bowl XLIII

Here we go....not really!! Who in the world has money for tickets in this economy? Some do! They say the price of tickets were dropping this week...whhh let me rush out and get mine at $800-$1000 per ticket. Don't get me wrong, hey if you got the money...go for it!!! Enjoy it! Did you see the cost of ads to be aired during the event? NBC will earn as much as $3 million to air an ad for 30 seconds during the game between Pittsburgh Steelers and the Arizona Cardinals. That's up 11% over the $2.7 million that Fox charged for the top TV ad slots last year.

My favorite part of the Super Bowl is the ads and the half-time show. This year our own "Mississippi girl" will be singing America the Beautiful as part of the pre-game show. Be sure to check that out...none other than FAITH HILL.
We are so proud.

However, this year I am alittle more interested cause I do love a good Cinderella story. Kurt Warner. That's what his life is called. There is an e-mail story circulating that I had posted and a bloggin friend had told me it was an untruth...similar story but not quite true....check it out at
http://www.snopes.com/glurge/warner.asp

Thanks Sharon

Good Luck Today....there is one MS girl "pullin" for you!!

Gettin' the Heck out of Dodge

So, I know some of you are probably thinking I'm obsessing about this story and maybe I am but with the arrival of twin grandbabies this story really makes me anxious! Also, there are followers of my blog that live in other countries that want to be kept updated. So, here goes....The mother of the 14 children is not married and has never been married as originally thought. Where the story about the husband contractor came from is unknown. All the 14 children are results of IVF (where'd she get the money for that!!) IVF is very expensive....and what does this say about the doctors ethics?? apparantly none!!!! all 14 children are from the same sperm donor ( or so we think). Now grandmother has reportedly told the mother when she is discharged home from the hospital she will not be there to help with the children.....she is "gettin the heck out of dodge".....who can blame her for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope this is the "rest of the story".
